Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against a Tennessee man charged with killing the parents, grandmother and uncle of an infant found abandoned in a home’s front yard.

The Lake County Courthouse saw 28-year-old Austin Drummond via video conference call as the judge read aloud the charges against him. Drummond is charged with four counts of first-degree murder, as well as aggravated kidnapping and abandonment.

Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against a man accused of murdering four family members in West Tennessee.

At the news conference Tuesday, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director David Rausch said the suspect’s girlfriend was related to the victims. Goodman later confirmed to CNN Drummond’s girlfriend and Rose were sisters.

Authorities have identified the four people found dead in Tiptonville as James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15. Wilson and Adrianna Williams were the parents of the infant who was found abandoned. Rose was Adrianna and Braydon Williams’ mother.

During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, law enforcement officials said Drummond was captured after multiple community residents spotted him and called 911.
