Once again, Oregon State finds itself in a win-or-go-home scenario. After successfully navigating five elimination games in the span of 16 games, the No. 8 Beavers (48-15-1) will look to survive and advance on June 17 when they face off with Louisville (41-23) at the College World Series.
Louisville and Oregon State face off Tuesday afternoon in a must-win College World Series matchup under the tournament's double-elimination format.
Arizona starter Smith Bailey held that 3-1 lead until the seventh inning, when Louisville led off with a Garret Pike double and bunt single from Neighbors. Bailey was relieved by Garrett Hicks, who allowed a sacrifice fly by Lucas Moore.
"Sometimes just a little tough love, sometimes it's a little kick in the rear," Louisville coach Dan McDonnell said.
