Established improv theater company, Unexpected Productions, began leasing the building 1991. Soon after, a patron waiting in the ticket line to see Theatresports, a popular competition improv comedy show (still running today), stuck a piece of chewed gum to the wall, topping it with a penny. Others followed suit. By the end of 1995, the wall was covered with coin-topped chewed gum offering. One day, someone in need of money to all the coins, but left the gum. The idea stuck.

There were layer after layer of gum on the wall. I got a pack of chewing gum just to add to it hehe. My friends and I blew some bubbles and tried to find a relatively open spot to put ours on the wal… Full review by Chester G

Don't knock yourself out to make a special trip to see it, but if you're nearby go for it because it is pretty interesting. It is, however, pretty disgusting. Full review by morrigan716

About 20 years ago, but the city of Seattle is taking it all down soon. I just saw it in the news last week.
